Beginning Teacher Orientation
On August 7-10, 2023 almost 200 new teachers gathered at Terry Sanford High School for New Teacher Orientation! These Premier Professionals attended workshops on pertinent educational topics, visited model classrooms, learned about the curriculum they will be teaching, and heard from several motivational speakers! Attendees visited Reid Ross and E.E. Miller Elementary School to observe other premier professionals. Dr. Connelly visited the BT’s and thanked them for choosing Cumberland County Schools to begin their career in education! We are so proud of the work our teachers do! #CumberlandStrong
We were also able to host two additional workshops this year for our BT2's where almost 130 returning teachers gathered and our International Premier Professionals with close to 100 in attendance. We look forward to continuing these additional orientations in the future!
